Elvis Is In The Building
Presented by Fringe Theatre Company in association with Actors Workout Studio, August 18 - September 16, 2017 at the Actors Workout Studio, 4735 Lankershim Boulevard, North Hollywood, CA 91602.
Conceived by Stacy Ann Raposa, Elvis Is In The Building is an evening of fictional short plays, monologues and music that centers around the iconic King of Rock ‘n’ Roll. From an Elvis Imitator who gets more than he bargained for to a chance meeting at Graceland, from a girl stuck in the closet with The King to the (apparent) invention of the famous Fried Peanut Butter and Banana sandwich, these five short plays stretch the imagination of the four playwrights to include Elvis-themed pieces. The plays are intermingled with live music, commemorating the 40th anniversary of the legend’s death.
The evening includes pieces by Roger Gutierrez, Sarah Kelly, Stacy Ann Raposa and Andrew Thompson.
The cast includes Tal Arnold, Mieko Beyer, Laura Boccaletti, Tara Bopp, Nicole DaCosta, Francisco DeCun, Misha DeSerrano, Kimberly Hummer, Bert Matias, Sharon Munfus, Adam Slemon, Cameron Weir and Valencia Williams.
Elvis Is In The Building opens Friday, August 18 and runs Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. through September 16. All tickets are $20. To purchase tickets online, go to www.fringetheatreco.com.
