Are you interested in advocating for important issues such as public safety, improving streets, beautifying our eclectic neighborhood and keeping the arts in the NoHo ARTS District ? You can by joining the NoHo Neighborhood Council.
What is a Neighborhood Council?
The neighborhood council system is made up of 99 diverse groups throughout the city, and 34 of them are in the San Fernando Valley. Each council is composed of a board of volunteers who act as liaisons between the community and city government. These dedicated neighborhood volunteers help increase civic engagement and represent the interests of their unique communities.
Did you know? NoHo is Los Angeles’ performing arts district.
North Hollywood was the first neighborhood in the Valley, it’s become a METRO hub and attracts new talent, creative businesses and visitors alike. The NoHo Arts District is just one-square-mile neighborhood but has more things happening than some major cities! NoHo is home to more than 20 live, professional theaters, which is the highest concentration outside of New York City. Our neighborhood is also the world hip hop/commercial dance capital with six dance studios that create the moves we see on TV and in film. NoHo makes a lot of music, too. The neighborhood boasts the largest amount of recording studios west of the Mississippi with musicians from all genres having recorded in the district.
Help make NoHo a better place to live, work, experience and create art.
