Want to make a difference in your community and help keep neighborhoods safe? The Los Angeles Police Department is looking for community members to join the Volunteer Community Patrol Program.
The LAPD program aims to assist the department in reducing crime through increased patrol presence in high-crime areas and acting as a deterrent. Volunteers must pass a background screening process and complete training a range of training prior to joining the program and participating in community patrol efforts.
In addition to the Volunteer Community Patrol Program, residents can also volunteer to support traffic safety outreach, front desk operations at the police station, aid clerical and administrative work and much more.
