But first, we have to thank Intagram for this find. While waiting for a friend who doesn’t know how to arrive on time, I was looking at cute pit bulls and dance videos on Instagram. I saw a video that made me laugh so hard I choked on my macchiato. The ice cream truck video, aka the Choco Taco episode. It was something simple but true, something that I did and is a part of my life experience growing up in L.A. I sent it to all my other Val (Valley, San Fernando Valley, the 818, we got names) pals. They laughed hard too. So thank you No Chill and thank you Janelle and Sophie.
In case you don’t know the meaning, (for all our Gen Xers and Baby Boomers) here’s what the interwebs say.
No chill: When someone has become reckless or can no longer behave in a rational manner, they no longer have any chill.
Meet Janelle Renee Pearson and Sophie Labelle, two young NYU Alumni who set out to portray the lives of all the Millennials out there throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks. Each episode features a whole new “No Chill” situation. How will these ladies navigate relationships? Being Authentic? Patriarchy? Self-Esteem? Saying NO to guys they’re not really interested in? Tune into the series WhoHaHa.com to find out.
They made us videos so we can get to know them better!
Help them make season 2!
Watch them do something strange for a little change...
Get to know the No Chill ladies!
