Hands4Hope LA Presents the 18th Annual Starlight Serenade Benefit Concert Yearly Fundraiser Benefits Free Programs for Underserved Youth



The 18th Annual Starlight Serenade Benefit Concert will showcase another outstanding line up of incredible award-winning musicians and entertainers as they honor American music Icon, Mr. Bill Withers! The event takes place on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 8:00pm at the Harmony Gold Theater, in the Heart of Hollywood, sponsored by U.S. Bank, ABCOFLASH, the Law Offices of Steve Simons, Black Fox Strategy, Payne Pest Management, ACE Home Solutions Inc, and The Federal Bar. The event will benefit the North Hollywood based Hands4Hope LA FREE after school and single parent programs.

The Annual Starlight Serenade Benefit Concert is a musical extravaganza that strikes a chord in the community to encourage participation and contribution. This fundraising concert gathers music lovers, professional musicians, and celebrities together to celebrate and support the academic, athletic, artistic, and social enrichment programs provided by Hands4Hope LA for at-risk youth.



This year’s event will be a star-studded affair hosted by Pat Prescott of KTWV 94.7 The Wave and will feature Sinbad. Musical performances by Greg Adams (founding member of Tower of Power, Founder - East Bay Soul), 7-time Grammy winning artist Larry Dunn (original keyboardist, musical director and composer for Earth, Wind & Fire), Jazz in P!nk, Urban Groove, an all-star Serenade band and a few surprise guests, including a Grammy winning recording artist highlight the show! The musical director for this year’s Annual Starlight Serenade Benefit Concert is the First Lady of Smooth Jazz, Gail Jhonson.

The Urban Groove Band plays all genres of music- from Jazz, Latin, Swing, Soft Rock, Blues, and RnB. They are a group of experienced men who thrive on creating a musical sound that every one of all ethnicities can enjoy. On stage the Urban Groove Band is full of life and energy which is felt in the audience from one song to the next. Jazz In P!nk is an all-star female ensemble of musical women in jazz that projects talent, beauty, power and femininity as they embrace the stage! Gary Taylor is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. As a songwriter and producer, Mr. Taylor has worked with both veteran acts, such as Anita Baker ("Good Love") and The Whispers ("Just Gets Better With Time", "My Heart, Your Heart"), and new wave of soul artists such as Lalah Hathaway ("I'm Coming Back") among them. http://www.morningcrew.com

Larry Dunn is a keyboardist, musical director and one of the early members of the music group Earth, Wind & Fire. Dunn, along with other members of Earth, Wind & Fire, was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2000. http://www.larrydunnmusic.com

VIP tickets will include access to a pre-concert delicious VIP Reception hosted by The Federal Bar with Pat Prescott and various artists from the evening’s line-up and a silent auction.
