L.A.’s biggest literary night out features more than 200 SoCal writers and artists in more than 36 literaryperformances & readings at restaurants, galleries and more!
For the fourth consecutive year, thousands of literary arts lovers from throughout Southern California are expected to converge in the North Hollywood Arts District for one night of “literary mayhem” at Lit Crawl® L.A. On Wednesday, October 26, 2016 from 6:00PM to Midnight, over 36 restaurants, bars, theatres, galleries and more will host literary happenings featuring hundreds of SoCal’s best writers and artists! Audiences will enjoy performances, readings and meet-and-greets with well-known L.A. authors, in addition to dozens of members of L.A.’s diverse, hot literary scene. Lit Crawl L.A. is FREE to attend with the exception of the Closing Party.
Lit Crawl L.A. is held in three “Rounds” plus an Opening Program and Closing Party. Guests can choose to attend just one event each Round or “crawl” from event to event. The schedule is as follows:

* 7:00PM Round One
* 8:00PM Round Two
* 9:00PM Round Three
* 10:00PM Closing “Speak-Easy” hosted by Amazon Studios

The 36+ literary performances and readings include programs like: Weird and Wicked Halloween Tales; Rainbows and Unicorns: LA Queers Writing Queerly; LARB Out Loud: An Evening in Literary LA presented by The Los Angeles Review of Books; The Literary Dating Game presented by PEN Center USA; From Vietnam To Operation Iraq presented by Returning Soldiers Speak; Boobs, Vaginas, and Brain Tumors: A performance of poetry and prose exploring the female body; Hunger Pangs & Candy Canes: A feast of writers' bitter and sweet stories from real life; literary presentations celebrating the National Park Service’s 100th anniversary by Desert Stories’ tales exploring the wonder, beauty, and eclectic nature of the desert; The New Short Fiction Series’ Ah! Wilderness; and What Books Press’ Adventures In NATURE(scape)ISMS; among others TBA.
Lit Crawl L.A. is a walkable event. Each venue is within a walkable radius from the Metro North Hollywood Metro Red and Orange Line stations. Those traveling into North Hollywood from Burbank, Glendale and Pasadena can also take the North Hollywood to Pasadena Express (Line 501). Guests are encouraged to Go Metro to attend this unique literary festival.
