The Friends of the North Hollywood Library (FNHL) is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization established in 1981 to promote and support the North Hollywood Amelia Earhart Regional Library by organizing community volunteers, managing donations of books and other materials, raising funds through used book sales, and contributing financially to library programs and activities.

In 2018 alone, the Friends contributed nearly $4,000 to the North Hollywood Amelia Earhart Regional Branch of the LA Public Library. These dollars funded purchases of books that supplemented the library's collection, book displays, and a variety of children's, teen and adult programs, including Winter and Summer reading challenges, STEAM, take-home play kits for kids, Jewelry Making, and Knitting & Crochet, among others. The Friends also sponsors free events such as Wonders of Wildlife performances for kids and families at theNorth Hollywood Amelia Earhart Regional Library.
