I’ve got to hand it to you; you’ve come a long way. Why just in the last couple of weeks, you’ve gone from Hawaii to New York, LA to Chicago, LA to Georgia and Alabama and numerous places in between. You’ve time traveled, juggled networks and clients, created, collaborated, and connected people to projects across the US. And that doesn’t even begin to address the mental and emotional distances you’ve covered! Whew!
I first heard the expression “teamwork makes the dreamwork” on the set of NCIS from L.L. Cool J and if I hadn’t already had enough reasons to think he was a cool breeze, that clinched it! He didn’t make it up but he does get the credit for stating a truth that exists not only in television production but everywhere humans come together to combine their talents and resources for a common goal. It’s a versatile concept that applies to teams of 2 and teams of 2000.
Daily Risks to make you happy.
“Of all the words of mice and men, the saddest are, “It may have been.” Kurt Vonnegut
Let's face it. Life is risky business. We take chances every day and truthfully, without taking risks, you don't truly live… you merely exist. And the funny thing is you may not even recognize or give yourself credit for the small risks you do take everyday. Like crossing the street, trying out a new dish, asking someone out, or volunteering to take on a new client. No outcome is ever 100 percent certain and that means that any attempt at anything has an equal chance of complete failure as much as success. Including getting to the other side of the street!
“The moment you doubt whether you can fly you will cease to be able to do it.”
Most of the time when I feel too paralyzed to take action it’s because I doubt myself.
Who doesn’t want to get more done?
I’m writing you this in an Italian state of mind. Not from drinking too much Chianti, but from breathing in the warmth of the Tuscan sun, in the land of sunflowers, olives, grapes, and ancient art and history which can be felt and seen all around me.
