The North Hollywood Division has always had a close working relationship with East Valley High School. In the last school year, our focus was on crime reduction. As a result, we did see less crime in the area of the school and this "project" was a huge success. Not just in reducing crime but in forming a great working relationship with the school staff, students and the very active parent center located on the school campus.

Call it stage fright, performance anxiety, talking terror, or podium panic; performing is one of the greatest fears. Experiencing excessive jumpiness, fidgeting, forgetfulness, self-consciousness and doubt can destroy the best performance and render useless, months of painstaking rehearsals.

In these hectic times, most of us are stressed, cranky and close to road rage sitting on the 405 Freeway.  During these bad economic times, let's try a little kindness toward our fellow human beings. Kindness doesn't cost anything to give but the end result is priceless!

The International Student Film Festival Hollywood received entries from 15 countries around the world this year, 69 films were accepted into the 2012 competition. Films have come from the Austria, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Hong Kong, India, Israel, Romania, Singapore, Taiwan and throughout the USA. Film students range from elementary school to graduate school.
