Today, in our series lets talk about that combination, the guest room/home office. Many clients in the past have found it challenging when trying to incorporate both into one space. Which way do you go? Make it a home office that can double as a guest room or the other way, a guest room with office space?

How many of you know the difference between the two?  So many use the terms interchangeably, not really knowing there is a difference.  For years, the term ‘decorator’ was used when referencing the profession.  But with all the added responsibilities and education today, ‘designer’ might be more accurate.  However, there are a few differences; training and licensing.

A few months ago we celebrated the ‘holidays’. Most of us used our dining rooms for dinners, buffets and even casual conversation. At the last minute how many of you scrambled around to make the room look ‘just so’? A lot, I bet. There are many simple ways to keep your dining room looking fresh and updated without spending a fortune all year.

Now that we’re back inside this week, lets take a look at the master bedroom. A few weeks ago we tackled the master bathroom and how you might want to coordinate it with the bedroom. We apply those same principles here as well. Both spaces really work as one in terms of color and style. So when you’re working on one, keep the other space in mind.
