I’ve been pretty lucky to be born with a little genetic advantage…both parents, particularly my mother, were ageless and they have definitely passed this on to myself and my two sisters.

However, I have just turned 50 and have been noticing a change to the texture and the look of my skin.  Gone are the days when I could simply apply a little lipstick and mascara and go…

So I’ve been looking for something simple to use that will give me a little help in the aging process.  Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want or expect to look 20 again, I just want to do the best I can for myself, to give myself every advantage, without doing anything drastic.

A friend of mine told me about Lancome’s Genifique, a serum you apply twice daily.  Apparently, it’s one of Lancome’s most popular items and after trying it out for a couple of weeks with a tester that a very lovely lady at the Lancome counter gave me, I can understand why it has somewhat of a cult status.

It’s a reformulated anti-aging gel intended to make your skin feel more radiant and increase the moisture levels and cell turnover…as we age we lose moisture, hence the constant advice to drink more water.

It’s a gorgeous, slightly sticky concoction with a light, clean earthy scent.  You pump a small amount onto your fingertips and apply it evenly on your entire face, you can also use it on your neck of course since your neck is one of the places that aging is first detectable…it’s full of the proteins found in young skin.  It also contains Dimethicone, a form of silicone that gives the gel it’s slippery texture and helps it hydrate and protect the skin…even temporarily filling lines…boy does this gorgeous stuff work overtime!!

After two weeks of twice a day application, I can honestly say I am stunned at how much better my skin is!

My skin is more even toned, my pores are smaller, no blemishes, fewer lines, and my skin feel soft and bouncy again.  It has a little glow, fresh and youthful…I swear I am not kidding when I tell you that Genifique is a bit of a miracle!  I know, I know, I sound like a commercial but I am ecstatic with the results, this lovely stuff absolutely works for me…

What I wanted to achieve was basically the very best version of myself…and isn’t that what we all want ultimately?

If Génifique Youth Activating Serum’s little bottle of Lancome love to can give you back your complexion’s absolute very best day…then I think it’s worth every penny.
