Mike Peros

Mike Peros

Mike Peros is an author whose new book, DAN DURYEA - HEEL WITH A HEART, the first biography of classic Hollywood's iconic villain, was recently published by the University Press of Mississippi.  He is  also an educator with a passion for movies ever since he saw John Wayne riding toward the bad guys, reins between his teeth, in TRUE GRIT.  Some of his favorite films include THE BAND WAGON, THE WILD BUNCH, OUT OF THE PAST, THE SILENT PARTNER, IT'S ALWAYS FAIR WEATHER ( a great musical--if you're a Gene Kelly fan, what are you waiting for?), and KONGA with the great Michael Gough.

Review A Star is Born; The Old Man and the Gun

Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt is on yet another mission to save the world (should he choose to accept it) for the seventh time (movie time, that is) in Mission Impossible: Fallout; the good news is he does, because this latest installment in the franchise is undeniably (go ahead, try to deny it) exciting and suspenseful, with more than enough double-crosses, triple-crosses, and well-choreographed action to make this one of the best films in the series—and one of the two most enjoyable films out at your multiplexes at this moment. (More on the other one in a bit.)

Review - Deadpool 2; Book Club

If you like your superheroes bold, irreverent, profane, and a tad anti-superheroic, look no further than Deadpool 2.

Review of Avengers: Infinity War

The highly anticipated (and so far hugely profitable) Avengers: Infinity War certainly has its share of action and humor, as well as an intriguing premise.
