Does the BID provide
information about small business loans?
No
Is the BID working on helping to rent the
commercial spaces for lease?
No, the BID is not a leasing agent. However,
the services that the BID performs help
create a better environment that encourages
and attracts investment into the district.
Is the BID responsible for tree planting
and maintenance?
No, it is not responsible for tree planting.
The CRA is planting 125 trees within the
district as part of its streetscape
improvement program. The BID will help
maintain any landscaping on the ground.
Does the BID have money to advertise the
district?
There is a small budget to be used for
communication efforts. It will be used for a
quarterly newsletter and a website. The
website is currently under construction.
Once it is “live” you can download a
newsletter. Additionally, all the storefront
businesses will be listed on the website.

How does the BID work with CRA?
The BID is non-profit corporation that acts
a voice for the private sector property and
business owners within the district. The BID
works with both the CRA and City of Los
Angeles on items that need to be addressed
to continue the improvements in North
Hollywood.
