If you’ve been walking around the NoHo Arts district recently, you’ve probably noticed the information poles popping up on the sidewalks.

The information stops, dubbed “Stanchions,” are courtesy of Angels Walk, a nonprofit organization dedicated to commemorating and celebrating Los Angeles’ rich history.

On the 1.5 mile walk, you will learn about historic landmarks such as the El Portal Theater, the Federal Bar and important figures like the Weddington family and Amelia Earhart. The self-guided walking tour officially starts off at the Metro Station and will take you about 1-2 hours to complete - depending on the speed of your walking and reading!

There are also Walks to check out in other LA neighborhoods - Hollywood, Chinatown, and Union Station, among others, with plans to add future walks in Crenshaw and Highland Park. You can learn more about the Noho Walk and download the PDF Guidebook at their website here. Happy Walking!
