Why You Should Date a Fat Girl

The concept of dating a Fat Girl has been a topic of social taboo for far too long.

And why? Your local Fat Girl is honestly the sh**.

Even with the tremendous growth in educating the public that – gasp – Fat Girls are people too, there is still a large amount of ignorance that comes with dating someone outside your “weight class”.

Just to highlight this ignorance, here is a list of bullsh** reasons why people justify dating Fat Girls:

“Fat Girls need love too.”

Fat Girls don’t “need love too” – we need the people who say that to f*** off. If a Fat Girl is lacking in love, it is because she chooses so for her own personal reasons. We do not need you to “throw us a bone”. We are not here for your pity. We are amazing – and we know it.

“They’ve got great personalities.”

Whereas this seems like a compliment – uh – it is not. Not all of us are hilariously funny or sassy or whatever stereotype you have developed to justify our existence. God forbid you meet a Fat Girl whose personality does not compensate for her “unattractiveness”.

 “The sex is so kinky”

There is this really cool thing sweeping the nation – it’s called “not fetishizing Fat Girls”. We are not so sexually deprived that we’ll be “thankful” for any type of sexual encounter. Our bodies are not a wonderland of “exploring the unknown”. Most importantly, we are not props for your fantasies! We are people, dammit.

“They love to eat”

STOP. JUST STOP THIS. We are human beings and need food to survive. If you really need to understand why this statement is so annoying, see the bullet above about not fetishizing Fat Girls.

“You don’t have to compete with other guys”

Yes you do. The Fat Girl of your desire has plenty of options and if you think like this, her options do not include your whack a**.

Most Fat Girls can attest that they often gain romantic attention for all the wrong reasons.

Thankfully, there are lots of people interested in dating Fat Girls for all the right ones. So if you are interested in dating a Fat Girl, you only need one justification:

 Because you like her.

Just as you would want to date anyone else for their personality, sense of humor, good looks, common interests, or attractive energy – you should also want to use those reasons to date a Fat Girl. It’s that simple.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again – we are living, breathing, thinking creatures with feelings, hopes, and dreams just like the rest of you. Being fat does not change that fact, especially when it comes to dating.

There is a serious problem with how the world values Fat People.

A Fat Girl’s Guide is a series of articles aimed toward breaking negative stereotypes surrounding fatness. “Fat” is a word riddled with pain, bias, and stereotypes. Cassandra’s goal is to break these connotations into easily digestible, bite-size chunks and hopefully make you laugh along the way.

What does it mean to be a Fat Girl? Well, it means that you don’t have to be a “girl” at all. These articles represent things fellow Fat Girls, Boys, Non-Binaries, Transsexuals, and the like go through.

A Fat Girl is…
• Anyone who has been marginalized for their size (regardless of gender, sexuality, race, age, disability – you get the picture).
• Anyone who has been told they are not valuable because of their appearance.
• Anyone who is tired of following society’s rules on how we should look, act, perform, and exist in this world.

How does Cassandra navigate being a Fat Girl in one of the most vain cities in the world? Well, read on.
